How these estimates work · sources and limitations

Reviewed 31 October 2026. These are planning estimates, not a Prakriti Power quotation or a guarantee of output, subsidy, loan approval or savings. The default annual yield is 1,200 kWh/kWp; roof allowance is 120 sq ft/kWp. Electricity usage is estimated by dividing energy charges by your tariff. Savings are limited to estimated consumption; surplus export receives no credit in this model, and fixed charges remain payable. Annual maintenance is modeled at 1% of system cost. Simple payback excludes financing, degradation, inverter replacement, tariff changes and the time value of money.

For Assam's special-category central assistance, the model uses ₹33,000/kWp for the first 2 kWp and ₹19,800 for the next kWp, capped at ₹85,800. Optional Assam state assistance is modeled at ₹15,000/kWp up to 3 kWp, capped at ₹45,000; availability and scheme conditions must be confirmed. A registered vendor, compliant equipment and applicable portal/DISCOM approvals are required; this calculator does not establish Prakriti Power's vendor registration.

The benchmark cost model uses ₹55,000/kWp for the first 2 kWp and ₹49,500/kWp thereafter, as published in APDCL's rooftop-solar bidding document. It is a dated policy benchmark, not a current market price; metering and batteries are excluded. Enter a real quotation for a useful investment estimate.

EMI models 90% of gross cost before subsidy credit, with 10% upfront contribution. SBI's published reference rates effective 15 October 2026 are 6.00% up to ₹2 lakh and 8.15% above ₹2 lakh up to ₹6 lakh. The illustration excludes moratorium interest and fees, and does not assume immediate subsidy prepayment. Rates are floating; lenders set final terms.
